Hello! I'm new to the forum here. I'm a writer located in the Unites States working on a Historical Fiction piece involving the Dyatlov Pass Incident. Through my research, I've become very attached to these hikers. My purpose for the piece is not just to write an interesting story, but to capture the personalities of ten very interesting individuals and to bring light to their lives, not deaths.

I've read the previous posts on Tibo's ancestry, but there's a question I didn't see addressed:

Did Tibo speak any French? I wonder if his father spoke any at home before he was arrested. Perhaps Tibo had picked up on some. If anyone has thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
