I read, dvelved into their personal records, found interesting contraditions and inactions

Enjoy:

Dyatlov, group diary, 31.Jan.1959
Fir trees are replaced by wispy birch-wood. We came out of the tree line. Wind is western, warm, penetrating. The speed of the wind is similar to the air draft created by a taking off airplane. Firn, open spaces.

Comment: One day before arriving on the slope of the Dead Mountain they left the tree line just to return to the forest of the river Auspyia where they built a storage? Strange...

Kolmogorova, 28.Jan 1959
Sasha Kolevatov tested his device, then quit.

Comment: Most likely this device was found in the tent and described as «tins with wires etc.»

Group diary, Doroschenko
27.1.1959
Several people hurt their hands on old nails.

Comment: Some injuries on their hands happened before the incident on the Dead Mountain! Tetanus?

Kolmogorova's diary, 21.1.1959

vor - forest
vorhum - bear forest man

Slobodin's Diary
vorhum - bear forest man

Comment: Something for the Menk fangirls/boys...;

Dyatlov, group diary, 28.Jan

supposedly by Dubinina: They didn't find anything except pyrite and quartz veins in the rock
V.S. Dubinina's own entry: Nothing but pyrite, and there were no quartz veins in the rock.

Comment: Interesting: The author contradicts himself/herself.

Also, group diary, 28. Jan, supposedly by Dubinina
Yurka couldn't stand the heat and after laying down for 1-2 min, he got up and moved to the second section cursing and accusing us of treason. After that they still argued about something for a long time, but at the end all was quiet.

Comment: What did they argue about? About something? The author avoids to mention specific details. Who argued with whom about what? Treason?

Unknown diary, 30. Jan 1959

Nick Thibault changed his clothes. He began to write a diary.
(Where is this diary???? The second missing diary belonged to Kolevatov)

Comment: Thibeaux's last entry in the group diary dates back to the 29th of January. Thibeaux wrote a diary? He didn't like writing at all as his entries in the group diary underline.

fascinating

At night they were heated by a stove placed in the tent. There was little room in the tent, everyone was lying next to each other, and someone had to sleep next to the stove. The problem was heavily radiant heat from the stove, so no one wanted to sleep at the stove. Because of this, minor conflicts arose. Interestingly, they did not use the stove for 1.2. Why? ...

You say you found INTERESTING CONTRADICTIONS AND INACTIONS  !  ?  I dont really see any thing thats critical. Its not unusual for any one to change slightly entries in Diaries. And as for Kolmogorova's diary, 21.1.1959[/b]
vor - forest
vorhum - bear forest man

Slobodin's Diary
vorhum - bear forest man

This doesnt really say much to us. And as you probably know the Mansi term or word for a BIG FOOT type creature is MENK or MANKW, meaning ; A FOREST CREATURE HOSTILE TO HUMANS. This doesnt appear on the list of words or terms.

The argument and accusation of "treason" was probably about changing the route to camp near to the top of the ridge in order to investigate the lights that they were observing from Jan 27. The only hills between them and Kholat Syakhl (1096.7m) are @ 949.5m and 733m so i'm guessing that they were getting teasing glimpses of the lights that might have been on the western side of KS. It's my guess that Semyon's plane photos are of an object directly west.

From the diaries section of this site, Lyudmila's and Zina's hand written diaries exist but the group diary doesn't? There is only a typed up version? That will be because the arguments and the decision would have been recorded but have been subsequently removed as part of the coverup. Ditto any personal diary (including Semyon's notebook) that discussed this.

Was the “evening Otorten” a plant in the investigation?  There is no hand written document and it seems out of character?  It could easily have been fabricated from entries in diaries.

Or maybe the severe weather or something else was agitating them. I hardly think that they are going to put themselves in danger just to investigate some lights in the sky  !  ?

Why would anyone want to plant such a thing  ?

It just seems odd.  There were no other satirical notes on the trip.

But why should there be a cover up  ?  What is there to cover up  ?  Its highly unlikely that they were killed deliberately by the Soviet Military and its also highly unlikely that there was an accident.

Not necessarily.  They had other things to do on the trip. Remember they are also doing various tasks. Any such notes would have been a bit of light relief I would have thought.

A coverup isn't speculation, it's a fact. The Central Committee ordered it?

But why write a note when your friends are right in front of you?  You can easily be satirical and funny without writing it on a bit of paper.

HI folks
(Notice my knowledge is very light compare to yours so maybe my words might seem unaware )
I have been working with some "desorganised" people or worse , it was part of my job for a while .
All the pass story does not sound like that  for me .
They were young, trained, had scientific basis and   were close together ( photos) and a precise goal . At least at he beginning .
So
1) i do not believe the diaries anyway founded after ( a " mise en scène"  )
2) As there was no reason to cut he tent from the inside : to go out  there many ways and it was the only shelter
3) a misfit-or - whatever-not-working group would have never been able just to plan the trip, to go on skiing like that  to sleep outdoors minus zero and to keep on doing for several days. This I am quite sure ( experienc od-f much more easy trips going wrong  shock1)
So this path is going nowhere ( for me of course )

So you have proof that The Central Committee ordered a cover up  !  ?

Yes we shall see.  The Press Conference is coming up, so that will be the starter.
