Ive never thought about the possibility, that the reluctancy to go back to the tent might be forced not only by fear of death or other danger in that vein, but because of terrible stink... It sounds plausible, that if a creature like this drops a load of stink, especially inside the tent, you would eventually flee. Also, kinda makes sense for the cuts in the tent - made for airing.
All those links, though, made it reaaaally hard to follow, but very informative. Interesting.

:)) Yep. Wolverine is amusing translation. In bulgarian it is "русомаха", in russian its basically the same. In latin - "Gulo gulo" (amusing as well :)) ). The lenght of the body is 76-86 cm, height 40-45 cm, and weights 11-19 kg. Solitary animal, but highly aggressive. Famous for its defensive behaviour and the "abilities" of the anal bladders.
