Zolotaryov's inventory: was he homeless or leaving home?

(1/1)

ikemitsu:
Was Zolotaryov really carrying with him loan bonds, occupational licenses and a diploma, as indicated in the case files (Receipt from Zolotaryova)? What could this mean? Was he leaving home after return from the trip? There was quite a lot of money too.

Monika:
Hello,

His intentions can only be speculated. It seems to me that he has no family and he may have been living in rented apartments. And each such challenging expedition hides the risks. And so he probably decided he would have all the important documents and savings with him for sure.

Star man:
I think that the theory that some other people forced the hikers out of their tent, sabotaged it and marched them down the slope is a simple and credible explanation.  The murderers may have stayed around and observed the group from a distance waiting for them to die of hypothermia, which some did.  The ravine four being better dressed survived longer and stared to build a new shelter.  The murderers may have then returned to finish them off.  It's possible they placed the cameras on some of them after they had died to throw people off thinking it was other people. It makes sense.

Does it really make sense to go to such extremes to kill a group of hikers  !  ?  Why would any one want to kill them anyway  !  ?  The Soviet Union was a fairly law abiding society because wrong doings were punished severely. Even the local indiginous tribes had to behave themselves.
