Carbon monoxide posoning

<< < (8/8)

Axelrod:
The topic of carbon monoxide poisoning is mentioned in the book Unknown compelling force (by Clark Wilkins).
The text of this book is very strange. This book looks like a documentary, but in fact it is very fictional.

There are many inconsistencies. The first and last corpses were found by one person. We know that this was not so.
This person has a strange Russian surname. This person is Swedish by origin, who somehow ended up in the Soviet Union.
And the situation with the stove and carbon monoxide is perhaps one of the most absurd distortions in this book.

This book is completely irritating. I don't even want to remember this book.

I wrote up a theory in Theories Discussion about the possibility of the hikers being gassed by a leaky stove exhaust causing panic to exit the tent.
Now I find there are many ideas on the good old "invention" of Igors.

Now as has been stated in the diaries the stove was received well by all and used 4x, leading upto the Feb 2nd now Temp =Approx -1c to -8c.

Now on the coldest day/night yet we are to be told that "no" the stove wasnt lit that night.--------------------------Temp  = Approx -15c to -30c.

I believe it was, and because the wind virtually unscrewed the exhaust pipe, the hikers were nearly killed there and then with deadly carbon-dioxide gas.

Its certainly useful to have different interpretations thrown at the Forum because who knows it might lead to someone having a brain wave. This Dyatlov mystery is certainly needing a brain wave moment. It goes on and on and on.

Ok well did the hikers use the stove. Well as a matter of courtesy we know that after each use the stove is restocked with wood ready for the next use.
We are told the log was found outside the tent - why outside - need to keep inside for drying sake and was kindling inside the stove ?. Another resident inside the stove would have been the Terminite, as from memory it stinks. Which begs belief why, if it truly was, an empty stove found (hey its an empty space ,very valuable for stowage.

When the stove was found there were 2 opposite opinions 1. That it was unused and packed away in its case. 2. That it was stowed in pieces.
Now why on earth would an empty stove be found.

The only possible way we could know if it wasn't used ,is if there is wood in the stove when they found it. "Even if the/a log was found outside the tent it does not mean that they didn't use it". " Stove used , nowhere else to restock it"

We know Igor wanted to try a stove free night - but was it this night ???.

Hunter:
One drawback of camp stoves is that they can't accommodate large-diameter firewood. The criminal case file mentions a small log; there's no information about firewood in the stove.
Even if we assume that there is firewood in the stove, the total amount of firewood would still be enough for the stove to work for 2 hours.
