There's a lot of speculation about this frame, a bunch of theories rely on it. People analyze the frame with different filters, etc. However on this website it is said about this frame: "This is a technological shot made in the photo lab before the film was taken out of the camera". Could you please tell me how did you know it?

Our esteemed member Dr. Vladimir Borzenkov wrote an article about it.

Wow, what a deep research. Thank you, I've read it in Russian. So, it's not a fact, it's a theory. Alright, a strong theory tongue2 However the author says that he is unsure where exactly was this picture taken, when, and by whom. So, it's not necessary it is a technological shot and not necessary is was taken in the photo lab tongue2

PS. Just in case: I'm not one of those guys who believe it's a picture of UFO, a secret weapon or a teleportation wormhole  grin1

... as 90% of the speculations about this case.

Tony:
Dr. Vladimir Borzenkov's explanation is very plausible. Although it is not necessary to depress the trigger to rewind the film on many 35mm cameras, it may have been required on that particular camera. It's also possible that the tech did it out of habit or to test the camera. In any case, it's absolutely impossible to tell what is going on in that frame. The circle in the center of the frame is, as Borzenkov stated, lens flare from whatever is going on to the left. It could very well be a photo of a flare or bright light taken on the slope in '59 or, it could simply be a photo of a light in a dark photo lab. There are 1000 different explanations that can be offered as to what it is a picture of. Too bad film isn't time stamped the way that digital is today.
