Title: slope degree where the tent was pitched
Post by: tenne on January 14, 2023, 04:22:36 PM
does anyone know that degree where the tent was found, not of the mountain its self. I've seen a degree of 23 - 31 for the mountain

I'm not sure, but this might help. I stumbled across it a day or two ago:

Scroll down to "Shura at the avalanche slope". They measured the slope anew. The result was: where the tent was found the slope is 20.1°(maximum - up to 26°).

so I found this "Slab avalanches require a slope steepness of at least 30° to be triggered" but that seems too easy

That is, why so many people don't believe in the avalanche theory. The slope is not steep enough. That's been until that swiss study, which I didn't study yet.
I believe it says, that there are avalanches possible even on less steep slopes, but require additional circumstances, which were also not met for the DPI.
