From July 2 to July 12, 2025. (the new dates are due to less grass at the metal detector search locations)
Goals and objectives:
1. More accurate determination of the tent site (TS) of the Dyatlov group
2. Survey of the tent site (TS) area with professional metal detectors
3. Survey of the cedar and stream area where the four were found with metal detectors.
Route:
Yekaterinburg-Ivdel by rail.
Ivdel-Ilyicha base (or a hut in a cedar forest) on a GAZ-66
Ilyicha base - obelisk on the Dyatlov Pass
Base camp on the stream below the found four.
Back along the same route.
Participants:

Mandatory condition;
1. The weight of the backpacks must not exceed the established norms for this hike.
2. Participants walk in a single group with a leader and a rear guard, helping those who lag behind, according to the regulations on the "Order of Movement on a Hiking Trip" and according to Articles 14, 15, 16 of the Federal Law of 24.11.1996 No. 132-F3 "On the Fundamentals of Tourist Activity in the Russian Federation"
3. Due to the fact that the participants of the Expedition are of different nationalities and religions, there is an unspoken ban on communication about religion and politics. We will respect each other, relax in the mountains from everything worldly..

Group of 11 achieved all tasks for the trek:
- Erected a memorial plaque at the site of the tent on the 90th anniversary of Nikolay Thibeaux-Brignolle
- Reached Otorten, the final destination of the Dyatlov group
- Examined with a new professional class metal detector the sites of the tent and the Cedar
The expedition was a success. Oleg Taymen is already enlisting hikers for expedition to the Dyatlov Pass 2026.

No. But I was very aware how unprepared I am.

Ah, I was wondering if there was a thread for this. I watched and used the subtitles. Very enjoyable. My favorite part was when everyone was by the fire drying their wet shoes.. A very vulnerable moment.
