I changed the subject name. My post is about the letter.

This summer, our group, led by V. Yakimenko (there were students and engineers among us, and Yura Yudin was with us - 12 people) was dropped off by helicopter on July 31st at the pass of Mount 1079 in order to carry out [4] a long-conceived plan to install a board, cast to a special order, thanks to the help of Volodya Vedernikov (the project was carried out by our tourists - 5th-year "architects" G. Ptitsyn and Ya. Ruvinov).

On August 2nd, the installation of the monument was completed.

I cannot see any significant reading. Interesting on the mention of finding the branches in the stream of a cave and the old logs or branches for the den. The interpretation is difficult to fully understand and what they thought they might be seeing given the word of mouth about the ravine. It seems like they assume a snow cave was made.

It would seem the area of the cedar and ravine is heavily contaminated from the searchers worksite at the location , with cans, belts, skis and probes from the searchers.

A letter that accurately describes DPI. Reading for more advanced readers. Again, it is necessary to understand the text correctly. I believe that many will understand.

The letter describes how they put the plaque on the Boot Rock.

Nothing else, nothing about what happened in 1959. The subject of this topic is misleading.

This is an interesting letter describing post-DPI developments. Valentin Yakimenko, leader of the 1963 hikers group, supports the Rocket theory, but I am sure SURI hints at something different. The letter itself provides no clue what had happened, alas...
