Haha, certainly noted! It never seems to impress me how physically fit all of these guys (and girls) were though. I know perfect physical health for young people was strongly valued in the USSR, but seeing them in person makes me realise that they were probably near peak physical condition at the time of their deaths.

That infamous pipe, I know for a fact that they found cigarettes amongst their personal belongings when they had promised to give up smoking for the trip. Oh Kolevatov.

Cigarettes. The reason I don't believe there were attackers camped around them waiting for the right moment to kill.

Like this was a time that EVERYBODY smoked cigarettes in the US and apparently the USSR.

If I'm to believe that a group of men with malicious intent was hiding out and waiting to pounce, then I am certain that at least one among a group of killers would be a smoker if not more and evidence would be left behind.
