If Zolotaryov's camera had not been damaged, I would have been convinced he was a formidable night hunter. There is a high opinion that the pictures are night shots. What if all of these (like other cameras) are routine, pictures of tourist silhouettes along the route?

Photo 9 has a top border. This is the " Chicken " photo. I believe it is a close focused photo of something on the other side of the train window.  All the following are also random unfocused accidentally triggered snapshots, or if deliberate, the focus ring was accidentally knocked out of focus on a rangefinder camera.
