Hi I am Jeff and I live in the UK.
I found out about this story in 2012 on the lurkmore site.
I can relate to an extent because I have been sleeping in the woods and in the moutains by myself on a regular basis so it's important to me to find out what has happened. Because if it's paranormal, I need to know the signs. And If it's paranormal It's not going anywhere and will strike again.
Is it possible to trap that force?

It's not paranormal. It all can be explained with very common for mountaineering events.
