Lets say for the sake of argument.. that Alex died  from his fractured cartilage, which us entirely possible.. That would mean all the people in the ravine were dead.. which would indicate they were all placed there..

I  think he was put in a choke hold and that killed him..

You arent providing any proof or even a semblance of proof. Just wild speculation.

Some clearly died from their injuries and some appear to have died from hypothermia.

I have found no evidence that he died from hypothermia.. I say  he died from the fractured cartilage.. He would have been coughing and choking etc.. can be lethal, as well as a choke hold can be

So what are you suggesting? That the ones in the ravine were buried? By whom? Not the others in the group as they were less well dressed and if it's a question of survival I think they'd take at least some of their clothes.

People with head injuries tend to scream a lot.. maybe Nick ad Alex were still alive for awhile.. moaning etc..

A core question is could the signs of suffocation be missed in three month old corpses. A lot of dark blood mentioned in the autopsies.

He would have been incapacitated, to some degree..difficulty breathing etc..if he ever regained consciousness.. then easily froze.

 It was almost certainly minus 20 degress Centigrade at least at times on their hike and almost certainly that temperature at the time of the main Event.  If you are not properly dressed you wont last long outside in those temperatures. Thats Evidence of a factual nature that doesnt require a Forensic Pathologist. But its also a fact that some of the Dyatlov Group had injuries that could have killed them before the Hypothermia set in.
