*THEORY: "The Scream in the Tent" - Zolo snapped, Igor intervened*

Hey everyone, I've been obsessing over this case and I think I finally have a version that explains everything without UFOs. Tear it apart please, I want to know what I'm missing.

*THE TIMELINE - 2 FEBRUARY 1959, ∼22:00*

*1. The Break* 
Semyon Zolotaryov, 38, ex-military, has an acute episode. Could be PTSD, sleep deprivation, cold, stress. He grabs a rock and strikes Lyudmila Dubinina, 20. Fatal skull fracture. She falls into the ravine.

*2. The Scream & Panic Flight* 
Someone wakes up. Sees it. SCREAMS. 
The group tears the tent open from the inside and runs out in underwear into -30°C. Pure survival panic. No time for boots.

*3. The Intervention* 
Igor Dyatlov, 23, the leader, confronts Zolo. He takes the rock and strikes Zolo back, killing him. Zolo also falls into the ravine. 
This explains both skull fractures.

*4. The Aftermath* 
Igor realizes he can't save the 2 in the ravine. He runs to find the tent and the others. Gets lost in the snowstorm. Dies of hypothermia/exhaustion. That's why his hands are damaged - he was crawling/searching.

The rest hear Igor calling but get disoriented. The group splits. They try to make a fire by the cedar, then try to shelter in the ravine. All die of hypothermia.

*WHAT THIS EXPLAINS*
- *Tent cut from inside* = panic after the scream
- *2 bodies in ravine with head trauma* = perpetrator + victim
- *Igor far from tent with damaged hands* = he was searching and got lost
- *Group spread out* = disorientation + trying to find each other/tent
- *No murder weapon found* = rock was covered by snow and washed clean over 2 months
- *No outsiders* = it was internal
- *Tongues/eyes missing* = animal predation after 2 months
- *Orange lights* = their fire + possible military rocket tests in the area
- *Radiation* = thorium in gas lantern mantles

*WHAT WE CAN'T KNOW*
- The exact motive for Zolo. PTSD is my guess but we'll never know 100%.
- Who screamed. Probably Zina or the lightest sleeper.

*MY QUESTION TO YOU*
Where does this theory fall apart? What evidence doesn't fit? 
To me this is the only version that explains the injuries + locations + tent without needing aliens.

About the rock: In my theory Lyuda went outside near the ravine for some air. She made a sound that woke Zolo and possibly triggered his PTSD. He thought he was being attacked, so in a panic he grabbed the first thing he could use as a weapon - a rock that was lying there - and struck her. The impact was so hard that she fell down into the ravine.

We probably never realized it was the weapon because of the snow. It just looked like a normal rock, and when the snow melted the blood washed away.

About Zolo and Lyuda: After that, in the chaos, Zolo also ended up in the ravine. His skull was also crushed later, likely during the fight with the 'team leader'. That’s why both of them were found there with fatal head injuries.

My theory about the DPI is darker and does not begin at the Pass. It is characterized by a planned act involving multiple links in a chain. The 'head' of this compelling force was pulling the strings behind the scenes, while its 'tail' operated at the Pass. That is why the case file looks the way it does.

The tent and ravine are a mile away from each other.

Lyunda and Zolo do not have crushed skulls.

Lyunda and zolo have flail chests. Broken and fractured ribs. Three in the ravine have the signs of prolonged struggling to breath whilst alive . This implies a continued compression of the chest restricting breathing . They were found under 3-4 meters of snow. The fourth ravine member had a multi fractured area to his skull.

The only three mechanisms that are realistically possible to cause the injuries are , a fallen tree , a mass of snow collapsing on them at the ravine or the outlining possibility of a snow slab at the tent a mile further up the slope. I don't not think they could walk to the ravine to the rent with those injuries. Plus the autopsies imply that the compression force was sustained. Meaning, whatever caused the force that broke ribs continued to be applied . It was not a moving object or force that hit and left , it was a continuous force like a tree or mass of snow .

There was another forum member some time ago who loved to speak in riddles in order to appear superior and then belittle anyone who cared to respond ( read take the bait). For all the effort and heartburn, two things happened. First the needle didn't move. Second, he went away. 

Sometimes to move the needle, you have to put your finger on it, not hint and wink.

This is exactly how the perpetrators were betraying themselves in the diaries and the case file, convicting themselves by their own hand.
