According to Aleksander Konstantinov all the injuries could be explained with a reindeer tripping over the tent.

This theory says that a wolverine could have stunk up the tent and the hikers walked down to wait till the tent airs out.

Methanol alcohol being introduced to the hikers either maliciously or by accident

Elk(s) were attracted to the unusual smells in the tent and attacked the hikers. The author of this theory sees hoof prints around the tent and elk hair stuck to Zina's pants
