International Expedition-2025 to Dyatlov Pass from July 2 to 12

Goals and objectives:
1. More accurate determination of the tent site (TS) of the Dyatlov group
2. Survey of the tent site (TS) area with professional metal detectors
3. Survey of the cedar and stream area where the four were found with metal detectors.

Route:
Yekaterinburg-Ivdel by rail.
Ivdel-Ilyicha base (or a hut in a cedar forest) on a GAZ-66
Ilyicha base - obelisk on the Dyatlov Pass
Base camp on the stream below the found four.
Back along the same route.

Group of 11 achieved all tasks for the trek:

• Erected a memorial plaque at the site of the tent on the 90th anniversary of Nikolay Thibeaux-Brignolle
• Reached Otorten, the final destination of the Dyatlov group
• Examined with a new professional class metal detector the sites of the tent and the Cedar

The expedition was a success. Oleg Taymen is already enlisting hikers for expedition to the Dyatlov Pass 2026.
