In short: Perplexity says, it might be possible.
There's still the why for everything else that happened and every other injury recorded. :)
I tried to explain this by invoking Judaism.
I studied the violations and negligence they committed from a Judaic perspective.

It was a punishment from a higher power. I came up with a rather complex picture.
I suppose the collapse of the snow in the stream was the icing on the cake.

Not sure, how many Jews were in a position of higher leadership in the USSR... The dyatlovits were no Jews. What does Judaism has to do with all of it?
