This could be an interesting topic. When it comes to groups, I am of this opinion.

Let's start with the slope
Could the slope have seen someone dead/dying from the cedar group? I say no. Could they have seen someone dead/dying from the RAV4? Again, I say no.

Group at the cedar
Could they have seen someone dead/dying from the group on the slope? And here I say, yes, and that was Dyatlov. Could they have seen someone dead/dying from the RAV4?? No.

Ravine 4
Could they have seen any of the dead/dying members of the group on the slope? Yes, they could. Could they have seen someone dead/dying from the group at the cedar? Yes.

Smoke is more revealing.

Interesting angle. Was there a line of sight between any of those locations? And if there was, we don't know what the visibility was at the time! It could have been a whiteout. Was it dark?

This angle of view is not related to the line of sight as you suggest. Visibility did not matter. Yes, it was dark and evening.

Try marking up a Google Earth screenshot and post it to elaborate on
Your suggestions about line of sight.

From a bit of faded memory , think they did that research in the winter 2025 expedition. It should be on the main dyatlovpass site , then maybe linked to another forum.

My main recollections were you can see in the dark and its actually easier without a torch. Obviously this would depend on the cloud but they both reflect light. I actually remember driving on a snowy night and switching the car lights off improved visibility.

I'm sure they also said that a torch on the tent can be seen from the cedar or cedar area . The line of sight was only interrupted in the steep part below one of the stone ridges , probably in the area of IRZ as the steepness there would put you in a slight hollow untill you hit the ridge . Im sure its something along those lines.

Three soldiers lighting cigarettes on one match at night is bad luck.

sometimes the old sayings carry more truth than they look on the surface. Night work has its own rules.

In nature, attacks always begin with the weakest. That is, a predator always attacks the easiest prey. Then it attacks the more difficult, and then the most difficult. This is an unchangeable rule. The Compelling Force must have attacked the easiest, the two Yuris in the Cedar, because their stillness and obvious location made them the weakest link. Then it was the turn of the trio who went up to the tent. Finally, it was the turn of the four hiding in the snow cave. Because the four hiding in the cave were the most difficult. They were hidden in a confined space. And the attack was more difficult!!! I think this difficulty angered the Unknown Force, causing it to break their ribs, gouge out their eyes and tongue!!! So, the Unknown Force gets angrier and more aggressive as it faces more difficulty!!!
