Lights! Camera! Action! - a Dyatlov Pass hiker animation

I'm in the middle of colourising the hiker histories, their entire life photographs as available at this site, and will upload them to a Photography section thread here when complete.

I've made my first animation, where Deep Learning AI takes a static photo and is able to manipulate it into movement, and have put the 9 hiker studio portraits together in a Youtube file.

Added some royalty free music as it didn't seem right without sound.

Please note the photo's used are not the finals, so there are some artifacts.

I'll send it to you now, minus the music. It will be a 28.5mb mpg file called DPI Animation (it uploaded to Youtube).

But it isn't the final version, it's my very first attempt, and will upload a new version over the weekend, and maybe do a few others.

George looks creepy, Zina very pretty, Alexander looks like a British agent, Rustem a cool American college kid, Tibo friendly and unassuming, Lyuda harsh, and Igor reminds me of Matt Damon!

Showed this to my family and asked them who they'd trust the least, the response was unanimous... Alexander and Lyuda.

Watching it a few times I do wonder if the guys had fallen out over Zina. Maybe she'd got back with Yuri and one of the others (Igor?) wasn't happy about it.

This chillingly brought home the fact that these mostly young athletes and adventurers were really alive before their fateful deaths. Watching Lyuda made me think her foreshadowing, days prior to their deaths, of something terrible that was in the air. Fantastic work on the video, Eurocentric. Thank you, for bringing them back to life, if for only a few moments.
